A THOUGHTFUL WORKFLOW

A small edit. A clearer timeline.

01

Bring your own file

Choose UTF-8 SRT or VTT files, or paste a short transcript with timestamps.

02

Make a deliberate change

Choose your output format and timing settings. Read any parsing errors before exporting.

03

Take the result with you

Download a clean subtitle file, or export a whole batch as ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.

THE TOOLKIT

One more edit, made simpler.

How it works ↗
Can this generate or translate subtitles?+

Cuekind edits existing subtitle text and timestamps. It does not transcribe audio, translate language, burn captions into a video or download video from another website.

Will formatting be preserved?+

This is a text-and-timing workflow. Cue positioning, speaker tags, styling and VTT metadata are omitted, with a notice. The original input remains available to you.

Are overlapping cues always wrong?+

No. Simultaneous speakers and deliberate layouts can overlap. The checker flags them for review; it does not automatically remove them. The 20 characters/second and two-line thresholds are simple review aids, not a platform compliance test.

How does splitting work?+

A cue crossing the split point is copied into both parts and clipped to each part’s boundary. The second part starts at zero. Merging only sorts existing timestamps; it does not append files end to end.
